• VERA cannot detect non-verbal cues, tone of voice, or situational context that a human would recognize

VERA is not equipped to handle crisis situations. While we have implemented automated safety measures to detect potential crisis language and surface resources, these detection systems are algorithmic and not foolproof. VeraNeural is committed to transparency about how AI and data are used in the Service:

• Your conversations are processed by external AI models to generate responses, but are not used to train those models
• VERA's behavioral frameworks are developed from published academic research and proprietary systems — not from individual user data
• Anonymized usage analytics may be collected to improve service quality, but individual conversations are never used as training data

VERA's behavioral frameworks draw from published neuroscience and psychology research to inform the structure and language of AI-generated responses. This does not constitute clinical application of those frameworks. VeraNeural does not claim that VERA produces therapeutic outcomes, and no clinical efficacy studies have been conducted on the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

This limitation of liability applies to all claims, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not VeraNeural has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
